The Legend Returns - Paul Robinson is back at Millwall as Under-23's Assistant

July 17, 2019

Written by:

He may have been a captain for Pompey and he may have enjoyed his time being a Womble at AFC Wimbledon, but due to the 361 games played and 23 goals scored in an unforgettable Millwall career, Paul Robinson will always be seen as a Millwall legend and yesterday the former captain was announced as the new under-23's squad assistant manager.

Among those goals scored by Robbo in his time at The Den, the one we all remember was the only goal in the 2010 League One Play-Off Final with Swindon Town which sent the fans into jubilation and the Lions on their way back to the second tier of English Football.

This will not be the ex-skipper's first coaching role, as he was a member of the backroom staff under former Millwall manager, Kenny Jackett, but this will be a homecoming of sorts for the former defender and behalf of the Millwall fans, the only thing that has to be said is, "Welcome home Robbo."
