This is the deal that all Millwall fans were excited about and all those who live tweet and report on Millwall's games dreaded, Jón Daði Böðvarsson put pen to paper on a long term deal and joins the Lions from Championship side, Reading.
Initially signing for the Royals from Wolverhampton Wanderers in July 2017, the Icelandic international scored a respectable ten goals in thirty-season games in all domestic competitions and followed this with seven goals in the following campaign. The striker was in great form for the Biscuit Men and country, but his season was affected by injury and his game time was cut short in February.
A vital member of the Iceland national team, Böðvarsson was an important part of the side who famously made the quarter finals of Euro 2016 and so far has forty one international caps.
It may be a pain to write his name in match previews and reports, but we will gladly write this all season long if it means Jón Daði Böðvarsson has found the back of the net for the South London side. On behalf of all Millwall fans, we welcome you to the club and look forward to you leading the line next season.
