Millwall have completed their fourth summer signing with Connor Mahoney joining from AFC Bournemouth on a long term contract.
The 22-year-old Englishman spent 2018-19 on loan at Birmingham City, scoring twice and getting four assists in 30 Championship appearances.
Blackburn Rovers will earn some money from the sale after a sell-on clause was included in his original move to the Cherries, which was worth £425,000 to the Lancashire side initially.
One Lions player that will be happy to see the winger in the same team this season will be James Meredith, after the Blues' Young Player of the Season caused the Australian huge problems at The Den in a 2-0 victory for Garry Monk's side.
Mahoney's end product will offer additional service from out wide, which may see Jed Wallace move to a more central role behind Tom Bradshaw - with a likely combination of two of Ryan Leonard, Shaun Williams and Ben Thompson sitting deeper in midfield if Neil Harris opts for a 4-3-3 variant.
Eddie Howe has been keen on bringing young talent through at the Vitality Stadium, but it seems Mahoney was deemed surplus to requirements.
Millwall have also been linked with a loan move for Bournemouth 'keeper Aaron Ramsdale, who spent the second half of last season at AFC Wimbledon - featuring against Harris' side in the FA Cup 5th Round tie at Kingsmeadow.
