"I thought the girls played well. I’m disappointed with the result, but with the second half I’m not too disappointed with our performance - we created a lot of chances, but unfortunately they didn’t go in and on another day we would score two or three goals.
It was about recovery [preparation since Charlton], looking at tapes, look at concepts we wanted to work on today. In the large, most of them worked, the only thing that didn’t work for us today was getting the ball in the back of the net.
The first goal was a mistake between the defence and the goalkeeper, but I don’t want to dwell on that as I don’t think any other team puts a sixteen-year-old in goal with that sort of atmosphere around them and I want to focus on the four or five great saves she did make today. You don’t lose; you win or you learn and Rhiannon will learn from that today and she’s got a long career ahead of her. The second one was just a long shot and it just managed to go in the top corner, it was against the run of play and was unfortunate.
I thought today Riva Casley was great again, I thought when she came on against Charlton in the week she had a great performance and she was good again today. I thought Fran Ali did very well for us today and was one of the more experienced players in the team and generally all round I don’t see anyone having a bad game today, so it was just frustrating."
