Leanne on the recent league and cup victories: "It was a huge relief to finally get a win under our belts. We’ve worked hard all year and to finally get rewarded for that was a great feeling. We stuck to the game plan that day and kept fighting and for once had a bit of luck! It felt amazing."
The skipper on whether the momentum can be maintained and the mood in the Lionesses' camp: "It’s really nice to have some momentum at the moment and the mood in the camp is high. You can tell everyone’s really relieved to be making progress and winning some games so everything is really positive."
On the Charlton Athletic fixture this week and the memory of Jordan Dawes: "The Charlton game is massive, but the truth is so is every game we have left! We have to treat every game like a cup final from now on. I actually had the pleasure of coaching Jordan last year at her college and she was a really special girl. She’s someone a few of the girls knew personally so it’s been a tough couple of weeks. She was always smiling always happy no matter what so it will definitely urge us to play well for her."
And finally, the amazing fans home and away: "The support has been great at Princes Park this season, the fans are really important to us , we hear them throughout the game and they really push us in to do better and keep fighting. Millwall have always had a close relationship with their fans and we like to think that we are the same in that respect. We know it’s been a tough year which is why we’re even more grateful to the fans for sticking with us so far."
