WHAT TO DO IN DARTFORD?

Pubs

Firstly, make sure you find somewhere to watch the England game after this pre-season fixture!

As well as the facilities that are available in Princes Park, there are a large number of pubs in Dartford town centre.  The town centre is only a stone's throw from Dartford Railway Station and is only 1-2 miles from Dartford FC.

Golf

Fancy getting there a bit early and getting in a cheeky round of golf?  Make sure you visit the 9-hole course within the grounds of the stadium and for only £8.50 for Adults, £6.80 for Seniors and £5.50 for under-18's, this is a great way to kill some time before you watch the Lions.  The course is open from 9:00 - 12:00 on weekends with a last tee off at 11:00, so if you are interested make sure you book up nice and early.  You can call them on 01322 299 991 for more information.

Shops and Restaurants

Need to get a few bits before the game or on the way home?  Well along with Dartford town centre and the local restaurants in the High Street, Dartford also hosts a number of large shops in Prospect Place Retail Park.  Located within a five minute walk of Dartford train station and with plenty of parking, why not stick your head in to the likes of Costa Coffee, Matalan and TK Maxx before kick-off to see what's on offer?

Travelling with the kids?  Well you are in luck as there is a Pizza Hut in Prospect Place too, which will fill them up and stop them running around while you're trying to watch the game!

Crayford Dogs

Greyhound racing is a great family evening out and if you fancy a little flutter after the football double header, why not make your way to the nearby dog track in Crayford?  With the doors opening at 6:15pm, this will give you enough time to enjoy the England game and then jump on a train, bus or in a cab to Crayford in time for a quick pint and burger and chips before the first race.  With a fully stocked bar, friendly surroundings and the potential to win a few quid on the Pick-6 deal, this could be the best way to end a perfect day.  Crayford Greyhound Track is located at Stadium Way, DA1 4HR just behind the large Sainsburys and only a five minute walk from Crayford train station.
