CHARLIE DEVLIN TAKE A BOW!!!
Millwall Lionesses came from 2 goals down to win 3-2 at the Hive on Saturday thanks to two absolute worldies from Charlie Devlin and a penalty from Ashlee Hincks which turned out to be the winner.
The London Bees who started the day bottom of the league got off to a flyer when Wilson was slotted through and placed the ball in the back of the net past Sarah Quantrill to give the home side the lead in the opening 4 minutes.
It then got worse for the Lionesses as London Bees doubled there lead on the 7th minute when a corner from Howells was met by Beckett and all of a sudden this game had tipped on its head. Top of the league Millwall were 2 nil down to bottom side London Bees... (Proving just how competitive this league is maybe and that there doesn't need to be any changes)
However this is Millwall... and there was always going to be a fightback... The comeback started on the 38th minute when Charlie Devlin scored the 1st of her 2 great goals from long range. The young midfielder picked the ball up on the right and from outside of the box curled the ball into the far top corner and reduced the deficit to one.
Lee Burch and Lauren Phillips had to work their magic at the break and had 15 minutes to do so. Who knows what was said at half time but it sure worked... just 2 minutes into the second half and another stunner from Charlie Devlin.. Charlie smashed the ball on the volley from outside the box, beating the keeper and seeing it once again fly into the top corner.
The game then completely turned around into Millwalls favour. Millwall had been given a penalty when Ocean Rolandsen saw the ball make contact with her arm and the referee pointed straight to the spot, just 3 minutes after Charlie had originally scored to level the game. Ashlee Hincks planted the ball on the spot before sending the keeper the wrong way and the joy on her face may probably been a sigh of relief after the first 7 minutes looked like the unbeaten run in the league was going to go.
The Millwall fairy-tale goes on in the league and despite not having a few key players it showed the strength in character and the squad diversity to bring 3 points back to South London.

Charlie Devlin. Pretty simple really two absolute wonder goals which proved vital in the 3 points. 2 goals the young girl has deserved from what her perfromances have shown.
