Full Name: Jordan Archer
Shirt Number: #1
Been at Millwall since: 1st July 2015
Scotland International Jordan Archer joined the Lions on a permanent basis from Tottenham Hotspur in July 2015, after initially signing on loan in February for the remainder of the season. Prior to joining Millwall, Archer had a number of times out on loan and at one point seemed to have more clubs than Tiger Woods; gaining valuable league experience at Wycombe Wanderers and Northampton to name just two.
Initially signed as a back-up to David Forde, Archer made the number 1 jersey his own after starting in a 0-0 draw against Scunthorpe in August and went on to keep 19 clean sheets in the 2015-2016 season. Injury aside, Jordan played the majority of the campaign during the successful promotion season of 2016-2017 and made a vital save in the League 1 Play-Off final, which Millwall won beating Bradford 1-0.
A commanding goalkeeper who instils confidence in his back line, Jordan is a tremendous shot stopper who looks to get the ball out quickly to build up counter attacking football and is now a key member of Neil Harris’ Championship side. He’s also not bad at heading over wayward back passes from his centre-backs….
